Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour are all inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best price possible. Prices are valid until 30 December 2025, except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays.
CHILDREN POLICY
Child traveling with two accompanying adults will pay the following:
· 0 Years to 1.99 years of age: Free of charge.
· 2 years to 4.99 years of age: 50% from the full rate.
· 5 years to 11.99 years of age: 75% from the full rate
· 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.
· If your tour includes airfare then an extra charge for child rate may apply.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be canceled.
DEPOSIT AND BALANCE OF PAYMENT
Reservation should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday.
Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 25 % of the full price. This payment will be 50 % during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare.
The deposit counts as part of your final payment.
The deposit can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard)
Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
TIPPING
Tipping for a job well done is customary in Egypt, though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.

DAY 1 Arrival - Beginning of 12-day Egypt tour Our 12-day Egypt tour begins with your arrival in Cairo, where representatives from Mateego Explorers will meet you at Cairo International Airport. You will then be transferred to your 5-star hotel, the Marriott Mena House, which will be our home for the next 3 nights. Check-in time is 2 p.m. In the afternoon, guests will have time to rest after their international journeys. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant. DAY 2 Saqqara and Dahshur Breakfast at the hotel, followed by an orientation meeting with representatives of Mateego Explorers . To begin your journey through ancient Egypt, we’ll depart to Saqqara and the oldest pyramid in the world, the Step Pyramid of Djoser. While in Saqqara, visit the Unas Pyramid Complex, the tomb of Kagemni, and the Imhotep Museum. After lunch at a local restaurant we will continue on to Dahshur. This area is considered as royal necropolis for the Egyptian royal family, and consists mainly of two pyramids; the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid. Dinner at the Hotel. DAY 3 The Grand Egyptian Museum, Giza Plateau- With Private Access to the Great Pyramid & the Great Sphinx Start the day with a captivating journey to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Explore the majestic Grand Hall, where the colossal statue of Ramses II stands in all its glory. Marvel at the Hanging Obelisk, a testament to the power of King Ramses II, and admire the exquisite statues of Senusret I. Ascend the Grand Staircase, a gateway to the past adorned with 72 captivating artifacts that narrate the fascinating tale of "The Journey Towards Eternity," and wander through the exterior gardens. Lunch is at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids of Giza. We will have private access after hours. This private access to the plateau is thanks to special permission granted to Mateego Explorers by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. We will enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. Especially for us, the guards will open two chambers – the Queen’s Chamber and the Subterranean Chamber – normally closed to the public. Then we’ll get up close and personal with the Great Sphinx by entering its enclosure, another experience not available to the general public. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant. DAY 4 Nile River: Flight to Abu Simbel, the Abu Simbel Temples & the Temple of Philae Today we are having an early morning; we will fly from Cairo to Abu Simbel. Abu Simbel is a village and archaeological site in the Egyptian part of Nubia, close to the border with Sudan. We will visit both of the Abu Simbel Temples. The Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller Temple of Nefertari were carved directly into the mountainside. They were moved to higher ground when the Aswan High Dam was built in the 1960s. An optional trip inside the mountain constructed to house the relocated temples is available. We will then drive to Aswan, where we will embark on a luxury 5-star Nile cruise. After lunch, we will take a motorboat ride to the Temple of Philae on an island in the river Nile. The Nubian Monuments from Abu Simbel to Philae are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will return to the ship for dinner and start sailing north towards Luxor. Enjoy the opportunity to relax while sailing down the Nile, as pharaohs and ancient merchants must have done many years ago. DAY 5 Nile River: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples In the morning, our ship will dock in front of the Kom Ombo Temple. We'll visit the Ptolemaic-era temple and the Crocodile Museum to see crocodile mummies that were dedicated to Sobek, the Crocodile God, celebrated at Kom Ombo. After lunch on the ship, as we sail farther north, we will visit the magnificent Edfu Temple, traveling to and from the temple by horse and carriage. We'll return to the ship for a traditional Egyptian dinner and "galabeya party," where everyone joins in and wears the regional robe known as a galabeya. We'll sail north toward Luxor overnight. DAY 6 Nile River: Luxor, The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, Optional Medinet Habu An optional hot-air balloon ride over Luxor and the Nile River's West Bank is available early in the morning. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the sunrise over the ancient monuments! After breakfast, we will start exploring the West Bank of Luxor with a motorboat ride across the Nile to visit three royal tombs at Luxor's most important site, the Valley of the Kings. You have the option of seeing an additional tomb – the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun – for an extra small fee. Then we'll see the stunning Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's female pharaohs, followed by the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. DAY 7 Luxor: Karnak Temple Complex & Luxor Temple, Hurghada Red Sea We'll depart after breakfast for the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest temple in Egypt. Next, we will visit the beautiful Luxor Temple with its obelisk and massive statues of Ramses II. After lunch, we will depart Luxor for Hurghada via an air-conditioned coach. Arriving at the Egyptian coast, we check in to a beach resort hotel and begin our tour of the Red Sea. Accommodation: Premier Le Reve Hotel & Spa Sahl Hasheesh Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 8 Hurghada - Red Sea Vacation Breakfast at the hotel, relax on the white sandy beach, and swim in the stunning Red Sea waters while enjoying the hotel's amenities. Lunch at the hotel. DAY 11 Egyptian Museum Cairo - Citadel of Salah Din - Historic Cairo - Khan el-Khalili bazaar After breakfast, we'll visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see the famous Tutankhamun exhibit, including the gold mask of the Boy King, among other stunning artifacts. Next, we will visit the Citadel of Salah Din and the Muhammad Ali Pasha Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Then we will tour Historic Cairo, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch at the wonderfully authentic Naguib Mahfouz Cafe, we will visit the legendary Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Tonight, we will have a farewell dinner at the hotel to celebrate our tour experiences.
