Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour are all inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best price possible. Prices are valid until 30 December 2025, except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays.
CHILDREN POLICY
Child traveling with two accompanying adults will pay the following:
· 0 Years to 1.99 years of age: Free of charge.
· 2 years to 4.99 years of age: 50% from the full rate.
· 5 years to 11.99 years of age: 75% from the full rate
· 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.
· If your tour includes airfare then an extra charge for child rate may apply.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be canceled.
DEPOSIT AND BALANCE OF PAYMENT
Reservation should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday.
Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 25 % of the full price. This payment will be 50 % during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare.
The deposit counts as part of your final payment.
The deposit can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard)
Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
TIPPING
Tipping for a job well done is customary in Egypt, though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.

DAY 1 Arrival in Cairo - Start of 14 Day Egypt Tour Welcome to Cairo! Our 14 day Egypt tour starts with travel packages to Cairo where Mateego Explorers’s representatives will meet you at Cairo International Airport and transfer you to the 5-star Marriott Mena House Hotel in Giza, close to the Pyramids, our home for the next four nights. Check-in time is 2pm. In the afternoon, guests will have time to rest after their international journeys. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Day 2
DAY 2 Saqqara & Dahshour Breakfast at the hotel, followed by an orientation meeting with representatives of Mateego Explorers. On our first day of sightseeing, we’ll visit the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the Unas Pyramid Complex, the tomb of Kagemni (KA - GMNI) and the Imhotep Museum in Saqqara. After lunch at a local restaurant we will continue on to Dahshur to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red (or North) Pyramid, both built for Pharaoh Snefru more than 4,000 years ago. The entire array of pyramids from Giza to Dahshur, including Memphis, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner at the hotel. Day 3
DAY 3 A Desert Tour to Fayoum: Wadi El Hitan, the Magic Lake & Qasr Qarun Temple The tour to Fayoum is a full-day trip. We’ll depart after breakfast for an hour-and-a-half ride in an air-conditioned coach, followed by a 4x4 safari to Wadi El Hitan (Whale Valley), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our visit to the nearby Magic Lake, we might have time to swim or sandboard. Lunch at a local restaurant. Next, we will visit Qasr Qarun Temple. In the evening, we will return to our hotel in Cairo and enjoy dinner in the hotel's restaurant. Day 4
DAY 4 EXCLUSIVE! Giza Plateau – WITH PRIVATE ENTRY Today we’ll have a private 2-hour tour of the iconic Giza Plateau – home to the famous Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx – before the site is open to the public. This private access to the plateau is thanks to special permission granted to Mateego Explorers by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. We will enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. Especially for us, the guards will open two chambers – the Queen’s Chamber and the Subterranean Chamber – that are normally closed to the public. Then we’ll get up close and personal with the Great Sphinx by entering its enclosure, another experience not available to the general public. Lunch at a local restaurant. Day 5
DAY 5 CRUISING THE NILE: Flight to Luxor, Karnak Temple Complex & Luxor Temple In the morning we will fly south to Luxor, where we’ll check in on a luxury 5-star cruise ship to begin our 7-day Nile cruise. Luxor was known in ancient times as Thebes and was made the capital of Egypt during two different pharaonic dynasties. The ruins of the ancient city and its necropolis are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our first stop around Luxor is the famous Karnak Temple Complex, the largest temple in the world. Lunch on the ship. Optional trip: Valley of the Queens and Madinet Habu. In the evening we will visit the beautiful Luxor Temple with its obelisk and massive statues of Ramses II. Dinner on the ship. Day 6
DAY 6 CRUISING THE NILE: The West Bank of Luxor: Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon & Temple of Queen Hatshepsut Optional early-morning trip: Hot air balloon ride. After breakfast we will take a motorboat across the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor. At the Valley of the Kings, we’ll visit three tombs. You have the option of seeing an additional tomb – the famous tomb of King Tutankhamun – for an additional small fee. Then we visit the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Next on our itinerary is the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, one of the most distinctive temples in Egypt. Built of limestone, it is unlike most of the other funerary temples of the New Kingdom period, which were built of sandstone. Lunch on the ship. The rest of the afternoon will be free to rest. Day 7
DAY 7 CRUISING THE NILE: Kom Ombo Temple Today we will visit the Kom Ombo Temple, which dates to the Ptolemaic period of Egyptian history, and the Crocodile Museum, where you’ll see mummified crocodiles and artifacts dedicated to the crocodile god. In the evening, we begin sailing toward Aswan. Enjoy a “galabeya party” along with a traditional meal. Everyone comes in the regional garment, called a galabeya, which you can buy locally or even on board the ship. Following dinner, there will be local entertainment and Egyptian music. Everyone can join in traditional Egyptian dances. This is a great opportunity to get a feel for Egyptian culture and lifestyle while having lots of fun with your fellow travelers! DAY 8 CRUISING THE NILE: Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan, the Temple of Isis on Agilkia Island & Nubian Village We will start the day with a drive to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest obelisk in the world. Next we’ll take a motorboat ride to the Temple of Isis, dedicated to the goddess of health, marriage and wisdom, on an island in the river. After lunch we will visit a Nubian village. DAY 9 CRUISING THE NILE: Abu Simbel Temples Our second day in Aswan will start with a journey to Abu Simbel to visit the two majestic rock-cut temples there, among the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt. The Nubian Monuments from Abu Simbel to the island where the Temple of Isis stands are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch optional trip: camel caravan. DAY 10 CRUISING THE NILE: Edfu Temple In the afternoon we will arrive at Edfu and take horse-drawn carriages to the magnificent Temple of Edfu. Following the site visit, we will return to the cruise ship and sail back toward Luxor. The rest of the afternoon will be free for leisure. You can spend this time relaxing on the ship’s sundeck while admiring the views along the Nile: the desert in the distance, flourishing green fields, farmers at work, and picturesque villages. DAY 11 Flight to Cairo & the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization After breakfast on board, we return from Luxor to Cairo. Then, we’ll check in at the 5-star Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence, our home for the next three nights. Dinner at the hotel. DAY 12 Alexandria: Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Graeco-Roman Museum, and Citadel of Qaitbay In the morning, we’ll travel from Cairo to Alexandria via air-conditioned coach. We will visit the major sites of this coastal city, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Graeco-Roman Museum and the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, and get a look at the Citadel of Qaitbay from outside. Lunch at a seafood restaurant on the shores of the Mediterranean. In the evening, we will return to our hotel in Cairo for dinner. DAY 13 The Egyptian Museum and the Citadel of Salah Din with Mohamed Ali Pasha Mosque (Alabaster Mosque) & Historic Cairo with Khan el-Khalili bazaar After breakfast we’ll visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to see the famous Tutankhamun exhibit, including the gold mask of the Boy King, among other stunning artifacts. Next we will visit the Citadel of Salah Din and the Muhammad Ali Pasha Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Then we will tour Historic Cairo, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch at the Naguib Mahfouz Cafe, we will visit the legendary Khan el-Khalili bazaar. Tonight we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel and celebrate our experiences of the past two weeks.
