Tour Overview
This 5-day tour takes you on an unforgettable
journey through Egypt's ancient history, exploring its most significant
archaeological sites in Cairo and Luxor.
In Cairo, you’ll start by
witnessing the grandeur of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx,
some of the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt. You will also visit the Egyptian
Museum, home to an extensive collection of ancient artifacts,
including the treasures of Tutankhamun. The tour will then take you to Salah
Al-Din Al-Ayoubi Castle, a medieval Islamic fortress that offers
panoramic views of Cairo.
Afterward, you will travel south to Luxor,
often referred to as the world’s greatest open-air museum. Luxor is home to
some of the most remarkable ancient Egyptian monuments, including the Karnak
Temple, Luxor Temple, and the Valley of the
Kings, where the tombs of pharaohs like Tutankhamun and Ramses II can
be found. You'll also explore the Valley of the Queens and the
Temple of Deir el-Bahri, each offering insights into the
religious practices, burial rituals, and architectural feats of ancient Egypt.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Cairo Airport
Welcome to Cairo, Egypt. Mateego Explorers representative will be waiting for you at the exit door of the arrival hall holding a sign with your name and our company name to transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2: Giza Pyramids & Cairo sightseeing
After breakfast you will be accompanied by your personal guide
to Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, The
Great Pyramid of King Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, the famous Sphinx. Then
move to the Egyptian Museum, a treasure trove of children’s king Tutankhamen.
Return back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Flight to Luxor (Luxor West Bank Tour)
Mateego Explorers representative will assist you to check-out from the
hotel in the early morning then transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to
Luxor. Once you arrive in Luxor city, Mateego Explorers representative will be
waiting for you to assist you and transfer you to your hotel in Luxor and
check-in easily.
Proceed to visit the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, then to the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC. Proceeding to the Colossi of Memnon. Later you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 4: Luxor sightseeing (East Bank Excursion)
Enjoy your breakfast. Mateego Explorers’s Egyptologist guide will pick you up from the hotel to visit the East
Bank in Luxor. Start your tour by visiting The Karnak Temples on the East bank,
which was dedicated to God Amon, which has the largest place of worship ever
built.
Then proceed to visit the Luxor Temple of King Amenhotep III, which has one of the tallest obelisks in the world. Then you will be driven to Luxor airport for your flight to Cairo and you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Final Departure

PRICES
Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour are all inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best price possible. Prices are valid until 30 December 2025, except during Christmas, New Year & Easter holidays.
CHILDREN POLICY
Child traveling with two accompanying adults will pay the following:
· 0 Years to 1.99 years of age: Free of charge.
· 2 years to 4.99 years of age: 50% from the full rate.
· 5 years to 11.99 years of age: 75% from the full rate
· 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person.
· If your tour includes airfare then an extra charge for child rate may apply.
CANCELLATION
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be canceled.
DEPOSIT AND BALANCE OF PAYMENT
Reservation should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday.
Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 25 % of the full price. This payment will be 50 % during the Christmas and New Year holidays and on packages including airfare.
The deposit counts as part of your final payment.
The deposit can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard)
Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.
TIPPING
Tipping for a job well done is customary in Egypt, though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.
